Dr. Casey Bryce, a Senior Lecturer is the University’s Earth Sciences team, delivered an excellent presentation during our Spring Lecture held in the Dame Monica Wills Chapel on Thursday 7 March this year.
Students, WHA members and several University staff came along to hear Casey shed light on the often overlooked and undervalued significance of bogs or peatlands, particularly within the context of the UK. This is especially relevant to us in Bristol as Casey’s team does a lot of its work on peatland restoration in the Somerset Levels and the Brecon Beacons.
